The Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia is yet to start and it seems that the battle has already started off the field. The Australian media has raised a question on the surface of the Vidarbha Cricket Association in Nagpur. One of the renowned and major media houses in Australia Fox Cricket has quoted the Australian reporters in Australia and tweeted the photograph of the Nagpur wicket on which the ground men are working on the wicket.
“What's going on here? 🤔🤔Pictures expose bizarre Indian ploy as Aussie concerns grow over first Test pitch,” tweeted Fox Sports from their official Twitter handle.

“Only the center of the Nagpur wicket was watered and rolled while the area where bowlers will target left-handers was left bone dry,” Australian reporters quoted by Fox Cricket.
“This was the same at either end of the wicket in what appeared to be a deliberate ploy to make life difficult for left-handers, who for Australia include David Warner, Usman Khawaja, and Travis Head,” reporters added further.
Meanwhile, the famed Indian sports journalist also tweeted the same pictures of Nagpur's surface with a caption; “Interesting treatment of the pitch in Nagpur. The groundstaff watered the entire center of the surface & only the length areas outside the left-hander’s leg stump & then rolled only the center, stopping short every time they got to the good length areas at both ends.”

Although just within a few minutes of Fox Cricket’s tweet, the Indian cricket fans took no time in taking to Twitter to lash out at the Australian Media for creating an unnecessary rant ahead of the series.
Here’s how Indian cricket fans lashed out at Australian media:

Spin-friendly tracks are as good or bad as grasslands of wickets you prepare for visiting teams. Don't be a crybaby. Learn to play quality spin, green-track bullies!

We have become a whinging test nation.... both teams play on the same wicket, India will play to their strengths, as we do we anyone comes to Australia.... suck it up and stop whinging for gods sake

This has been the trend for a while now. Selective watering. The attempt is to neutralise the back of length from quicks while maximising spin impact. But it’s not an exact science and doesn’t always work as intended!

Nothing wrong with preparing a dustbowl, I’m all for it. But specifically wrecking outside off stump for Australia’s numerous lefties (Warner, Khawaja, Head, Carey, Renshaw, Agar plus the tail) when India have likely no lefties in their top 7 is disgraceful

I love how @beastieboy07 is intentionally saying the opposites, just to confuse the crap out of all Aussies who are here taking notes for preparations.

Cry more aussies. We never complain when we visit Australia and you make green tops. If your players only performs on green tops and not on spinning pitches then they can be called home track bullies 😂
