According to the cricket fraternity, Anrich Nortje, the pacer of Delhi Capitals, is one of the best seamers in IPL 2020. The Delhi-based team opted for Anrich Nortje in place of the England all-rounder Chris Woakes. Chris Woakes had decided not to take part in the current season of the IPL, as he was expecting the birth of his second child. On Wednesday, the former Australian speedster Brett Lee has expressed his delight after watching the bowling speeds of Nortje against Rajasthan Royals. Anrich Nortje has impressed Brett Lee to a great extent.

Anrich Nortje, along with Kagiso Rabada, has been one of the deadly and most effective fast-bowling pairs in the IPL 2020. From the eight games he has played so far, the 26-year old pacer has picked up ten wickets. He has even received the man of the match award for finishing with figures of 4-0-33-2 against the Rajasthan Royals. When the South African pacer missed a catch off Rahul Tewatia’s bat, he compensated for his error in the slog overs by bowling a brilliant spell.

Brett Lee praised Anrich Nortje on social media

The duel between Jos Buttler and Anrich Nortje got the maximum attention of the fans and the cricket experts. It was when he came back to grind down the stumps of Buttler after the English cricketer had taken him to the cleaners during the third over earlier. This action of Nortje made the rest of the game easy for DC, as their bowlers didn’t let the RR batsmen settle down completely. The RR batsmen such as Ben Stokes, Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, and Robin Uthappa started to strike with the bat. However, none of them could stay on the wicket and win the game. Nortje took the second wicket of Uthappa. He cleaned up Uthappa’s stumps with a picture-perfect Yorker.

After watching over Anrich Nortje’s bowling speed of 156.2, Brett Lee’s took on the social media to praise him.
