Former India opening batter, Gautam Gambhir is known to be expressive in recent times. Even though he was aggressive while leading Kolkata Knight Riders, his current expression of emotions has taken social media by storm. Meanwhile, the game between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore was a nerve-wracking one. After winning the toss, the Super Giants elected to bowl first.

The home team, Royal Challengers had a great start as they scored 56 runs in the powerplay. However, after the powerplay, the three-time finalists slowed down a bit and could only get to 104/1 in 13 overs, losing the wicket of Virat Kohli. In the last seven overs, the likes of skipper Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell exploded and took the team to 212/2. Both batters scored a fifty each.

The Lucknow pacers traveled the journey while the spinners did alright. In reply, the visitors had a poor start as they lost three wickets for 23 runs. Marcus Stoinis and skipper KL Rahul put together 76 runs with the former doing the heavy lifting. Stoinis' efforts and Nicholas Pooran's 62 off 19 not just only kept the team in the game but also brought the team closer to the target.

However, after the latter's wicket, some unthinkable drama unfolded in the last few overs of the game. Ayush Badoni hit a six but his bat crashed the stumps. In the last over, the team lost two more wickets, making it look like the game will go in the Super Over. However, due to poor keeping from Dinesh Karthik, the likes of Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi took a bye.
