Mumbai are all set to play against Delhi in their last league game of the Indian T20 League 2022. The five-time champions have not had the best season this time around. They have played 13 games in the edition, and have just won three out of them. They stand at the bottom of the points table. While their team management has tried many permutations and combinations this season, Arjun Tendulkar has not had a chance to play for the team.

However, it looks like the all-rounder might get a chance to finally make his debut in the cash-rich league against Delhi on Saturday. Ahead of the game day, Mumbai posted a video on their Instagram account, where Arjun is seen practising bowling yorkers. This is an indicator that he may play for the team.

The 22-year old has already played for his domestic team (Mumbai) in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He made his debut against Haryana in 2021 and played one more game against Puducherry. In the two T20 games that he has played so far, he has taken two wickets. Aside from that, Arjun has played for MCC Young Cricketers in England, Mumbai Under-19, and Ealing Cricket Club in England. He has frequently served as a net bowler when the Indian team practises in Mumbai before a match.

Arjun Tendulkar is the son of the legendary cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar. The 49-year old served as a great cricketer, not just for the Indian team, but also for Mumbai in the Indian T20 League. With such a big brand attached to his name, Arjun will face a lot of expectations.

Meanwhile, the encounter will be crucial in determining the fate of the playoffs. If Delhi wins, they will climb the points table and proceed to the next stage of the competition. If not, Bangalore will remain at the fourth position and thus, qualify for the playoffs. Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Lucknow already have booked a spot for themselves in the top four.
