Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians locked horns in the 35th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The visitors’ skipper Rohit Sharma won the flip of the coin and asked the defending champions to bat first at the batting-supportive surface of the NMS, Ahmedabad.
Batting first, the Titans managed to post a total of 207 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Later on, Mumbai Indians failed to chase down the total and choked against the bowling attack of the Gujarat Titans and faced the second consecutive defeat in the tournament.

Fans also took a dig at the performance of the Mumbai Indians and praised the Gujarat Titans for securing their fifth win in the tournament.

Talking about the action of the match, Shubman Gill scored a crucial half-century of 56 runs off 34 balls with seven boundaries and a six to his name in the first innings. Other than him, David Miller and Abhinav Manohar also played quick and blistering knocks in the first innings for Gujarat. Miller scored 46 runs off just 22 balls with two boundaries and four sixes followed by 42 runs off just 21 balls with three boundaries and three sixes by Abhinav Manohar. On the back of these knocks, GT managed to post a total of 207 runs for the loss of six wickets in the first 20 overs of the game.
Later on, while defending the target, the bowling attack of Titans restricted the five-time champions to the score of 152 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the entire 20 overs. Noor Ahmad scalped three wickets alongside two wickets each by Rashid Khan and Mohit Sharma followed by one wicket by skipper Hardik Pandya.
Eventually, Hardik Pandya’s men won the match by a big margin of 55 runs to move to the second spot of the points table of the tournament.
