To an utter disappointment to the Indian cricket fans, Steve Smith-led Australia completely outmuscled Team India by a massive margin of 10 wickets in the just-concluded second of the three-match ODI series. Both teams played this match at the Dr. YSR Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vishakhapatnam. The visitors’ skipper Steve Smith won the flip of the coin and asked India to bat first.
Team India went on to surrender against the Aussie bowling attack led by the veteran pacer Mitchell Starc, who took a brilliant five-fer. Australia bundled Rohit Sharma’s men only on the score of 117 runs in 26 overs.
Australia comfortably chased down the target and won the match without losing a wicket courtesy of an amazing opening partnership between Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh.
Notably, Indian cricket fans went into a full state of disappointment following this embarrassing defeat of the men in blue in the penultimate fixture of the white-ball series. Fans took to Twitter to release their angst and express disappointment for this defeat of India.

Speaking of the entire action of the match, former skipper Virat Kohli and star all-rounder Axar Patel were the only two batters for India to cross the individual mark of 20+ runs. Virat played a knock of 31 runs; whereas Axar Patel contributed with an individual score of 29 runs. Mitchell Starc completely crumbled the Indian batting lineup by scalping five wickets conceding 53 runs in his 8 overs including a maiden over. Other than Starc, Sean Abbott also scalped 3 wickets alongside 2 wickets claimed by Nathan Ellis.
Riding on these brilliant bowling heroics, the Aussies restricted India to the score of only 117 runs in the first innings.
Later on, while chasing the target, the opening pair of Travis Head and Mitchell Starc single-handedly won the match for Australia. The duo stitched an unbeaten and remarkable opening partnership of 121 runs to end the match in favor of Australia by 10 wickets.
Eventually, the senior Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc won the 'player of the match' award for his match-defining bowling performance.
