Whenever dedication and perseverance would be discussed in Indian cricket, it would always be incomplete without the name of Hanuma Vihari. The Andhra Pradesh skipper showcased his dedication towards the game once again on the second day of the ongoing Ranji Trophy quarterfinal against Madhya Pradesh at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.

Vihari sustained an injury in the wrist of his left hand on the opening day of the QF against MP. He had to leave the field due to the intensity of the pain after the injury. But everyone left stunned when the 29-year-old recalled the memories of his heroics in the famous Sydney draw between India and Australia when he came to keep Andhra Pradesh’s first innings going with an injured wrist.

Not only this, he batted left-handed to avoid any further injury and ended up scoring 27 runs off 57 balls with five boundaries to his name.

This amazing heroic effort from Hanuma Vihari drew a lot of empathetic reactions from Indian cricket fans. The list also included the veteran Indian wicketkeeper-batter, Dinesh Karthik. Apart from this, the fans took to Twitter to raise questions about the Indian team management for not giving fair enough chances to Hanuma Vihari.
