In what seems to be a big setback, the Australian skipper and pace spearhead Pat Cummins has been dethroned from the position of number 1 Test bowler. Now, the veteran England pacer and one of the all-time greats James Anderson has earned the spot of no 1 Test bowler owing to his brilliant performance in the recently concluded Mount Maunganui Test against New Zealand.

Jimmy Anderson scalped  3 and 4 wickets by conceding 36 and 18 runs in the first and second innings respectively. Whereas on the other hand, Aussie skipper Cummins had two miserable outings by scalping only 3 wickets in the First two Tests against India in Nagpur and Delhi respectively.

Notably, the Sydney speedster remained on the top spot in Test rankings of bowlers for last almost four years; but it’s James Anderson who ended the former’s streak as the number 1 Test bowler. Meanwhile, the cricket fans also took it as an opportunity to troll Pat Cummins; they took to Twitter and trolled him with some interesting comments. Subsequently, the fans also lavished the praise on the England pacer James Anderson.

Here's how fans trolled Pat Cummins:

Speaking of the ongoing four-match Test series between India and Australia, the visitors are in trouble as the skipper himself flew way back home due to family commitments. Other than Cummins, senior opener David Warner will also miss both the remaining two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India.

Currently, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team is leading the series by a margin of 2-0 with two straight and handsome wins in the first Test at Nagpur followed by the second fixture in Delhi. The hosts won the first Nagpur Test by a margin of an innings and 132 runs complementing it with a 6-wicket in the second Test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Now, both teams will lock horns in the third of the four-match Test series at the Holkar Stadium in Indore from Wednesday, the 1st of March. Concludingly, the Narendra Modi Stadium of Ahmedabad will host the fourth and last Test of the series.
