The former legendary spinner Shane Warne believes that team India has no chance to make a comeback in the upcoming Test match. The 2nd match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia is to begin from December 26 in Melbourne. Warne believes that the visitors will get hammered by 0-4 in the Test series.

India recently suffered destruction in the first Test in Adelaide as they had registered 36. It is their lowest ever score in the most extended format of the game. The Australian pacers Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins had recorded a victory for the side. Shane Warne also believes the current Australian bowling attack of Cummins, Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon is one of the most significant bowling units.

Hence, the spin genius Shane Warne opined that it would be difficult for the men in blue to forget their horrendous outing in the Adelaide Test. Australia is undoubtedly going to detonate them.

The Indian team also received a massive blow as their wizard pacer Mohammed Shami ruled out of the remaining games. The bowler sustained a fracture in his bowling arm. Shane Warne also stated that team India would fondly miss Shami as the Melbourne conditions are ideal for him.

Although the spinner believes that Australia will dominate team India, he also stated that the visitors could make a comeback in the series. The visitors can bounce back if they get their Playing XI right. India is also expecting to make at least five changes in their team in the second game. It is considered that Gill, Siraj, Jadeja, and Pant will be a part of the playing XI. On the other hand, Tim Paine’s side is to remain unchanged.

Ajinkya Rahane will lead team India in the remaining series and Cheteshwar Pujara will be the vice-captain for the side. Two players Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj, will make their test debut in the 2nd test. Also, Rishabh Pant will replace Saha and the all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is also making a comeback to the Test side.

The much-awaited Boxing Day Test between India and Australia begins from December 26 at the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground.
