Arshdeep Singh made an impressive debut against England in a T20 international on July 7. The fast bowler managed to swing the ball both ways in his very first ever over. However, he hasn't been given a game to prove himself, since.
He was left out of the playing XI in the first ODI against West Indies and continues to miss out in the second ODI as well. This caused a huge wave of disappointment from the Indian cricket fans on Twitter.
Many came out to express their displeasure. Arshdeep has been a part of the Indian team for the team but hasn't been given the chance to be part of the playing XI. After the playing XI for the second ODI against West Indies was announced, team India's fans spared no time to criticize the team selection. They were extremely unhappy with the exclusion of Arshdeep Singh from the playing XI.

after a long time Indian team might have a good left arm fast bowler , but this team still playing cricket of 1990s, they should play Arshdeep Singh

#arshdeepsingh #WIvIND #IndvsWI #ODI #IndianCricketTeam #BCCI
Indian top batters don't know how to play left arm seamers & our team coaches don't give opportunity to the one we have Arshdeep Singh completely biased selection by Dravid & all the others captains..

Why Arshdeep Singh not considered against WI, he is much more talented in the available lot. Keen to see him bowling in 3rd ODI against WI #WIvIND

When the game of cricket having so many successful left handed pacers, there's still no place for Arshdeep Singh who can give immense balance to this inexperience pack of bowling, @Avesh_6 and @imShard are not ODI cricket material, they need to improve! @BCCI @SDhawan25 #IndvsWI

Apart from his skillset and numbers, I had really thought that Arshdeep Singh's left-arm aspect would get him more than just one game in four different series when he was picked first for the T20I vs South Africa..

Surprised to say the least.#IndvsWI

@SDhawan25 @BCCI Ridiculous captaincy by Dhawan. Pathetic team selection. Why are you not playing Arshdeep Singh in your playing XI ?

Meanwhile, India have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ODI series against West Indies. West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran won the toss and chose to bat first in the second ODI. The Men from Caribbean put a score of 311 for the loss of 6 wickets in the first innings, thanks to Shai Hope's century.
The Indian team lost their first three wickets for 79 runs. Shreyas Iyer and Sanju Samson then steadied the innings as they managed to score their respective fifties. However, once the duo got out, things looked a bit difficult. India were reduced to 280 for the loss of 7 wickets in 45.5 overs.
However, Akshar Patel started his onslaught right from the next over and ensured the victory for Team India. With 6 runs requiring off the last 3 balls, Axar Patel managed to put the fourth ball beyond the ropes.
He was adjourned the man of the match for his wonderful 64*. With this victory, the Indian team managed to seal the series. The third ODI against West Indies will be played on July 27 at the same venue. All eyes will be on Arshdeep Singh as fans await his entry into the playing XI.
