India and Australia are set to lock horns with each other in the first of the four-match Test series at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on Thursday, the 9th of February. Notably, Australia has arrived in India for the preparation ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against the hosts.

Meanwhile, the media reports have learned that the visitors are reportedly studying the footage of Axar Patel to prepare hard for this full-fledged Test series against Rohit Sharma & co.

Earlier, the former skipper and batting veteran Steve Smith also talked about their preparations ahead of the series.

“The last time we went I’m pretty sure we got served up a green top (to practice on) and it was sort of irrelevant. We’re better off having our own nets and getting spinners in and bowling as much as they can. We’ll wait and see when we hit the ground. I think we’ve made the right decision to not play a tour match,” said Steve Smith to the Sydney Morning Herald.
