Pakistan are currently busy playing the ongoing 20-20 World Cup in Australia. However, the men in green failed to begin their World Cup campaign in a good manner as they have lost two out of their three games so far. On 3 November 2022, Pakistan took on South Africa in Sydney in a must-win encounter.

After India’s loss against the Proteas, Pakistan are almost out of contention to get qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing tournament. Babar Azam scored six runs while Mohammad Rizwan managed only four runs against the Proteas

Both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have failed to showcase their form in the ongoing World Cup. In recent years, these two batters have been the main pillars of Pakistan. But, in this ongoing tournament, both of them have failed miserably. Before this clash with South Africa, Mohammad Rizwan scored 67 runs in three matches. On the other hand, Babar Azam managed only eight runs in three matches. So, their form has been a concern for Pakistani fans. Now, speaking of the match against the Proteas, Babar Azam won the toss and choose to bat first in this encounter.

But, Rizwan failed once again as he scored four runs off four balls, including one four. Even, Babar Azam also failed as he scored six runs off 15 balls, at a strike rate of 40. Fakhar Zaman missed the match due to an injury. So, Mohammad Haris came out to bat at the number three position. He scored 28 runs off 11 balls, including two fours and three sixes. He impressed everyone with his strike rate of 254.54. Fans came up and showed their anger on both openers as they claimed that both Rizwan and Babar need to learn from the kid how to play in the powerplay overs.
