The blockbuster clash between India and Pakistan in the 2021 T20 World Cup is one that will send the cricketing world into a frenzy. The two arch-rivals are slated to clash against each other on 24th October 2021 in Dubai.

Pakistan skipper and batting talisman Babar Azam has opined that the Indian side will be under more pressure in the mega clash due to their unbeaten streak. Azam also confidently stated that Pakistan would like to start off their campaign in the 2021 T20 World Cup by defeating the Indian side.

"I think India will be under more pressure as compared to Pakistan during the World Cup match. We would like to start our campaign by defeating India," said Babar Azam as quoted by The Hindustan Times.

The 2021 T20 World Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this year, and Azam stated that playing in the UAE will be like playing at home. Notably, UAE has served as a home venue for Pakistan in the last decade and it is only recently that teams have started travelling to Pakistan. Azam concluded by stating that the Pakistan players will give their hundred percent on the field against the Virat Kohli-led side.

“It is like playing at our home ground when we play at UAE venues and we want to give our 100 percent on the field coupled with that,” concluded Azam.

This will be the first time in more than two years that India and Pakistan will locking horns at the international arena. The last time that India and Pakistan faced each other was during 2019 fifty over World Cup, where India thrashed the Pakistan side by 89 runs.
