The Women's T20 League's inaugural game took place in Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Sports Arena. This competition is being co-hosted by Mumbai's Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium. According to a recent source, the Indian Cricket Board has decided that the boundary length for the Women's T20 League 2023 will be 60 metres (at most). In actuality, this is 5 metres less than the length used in the Women's 20-20 World Cup.
What is the boundary length decided by the board for the WTL 2023?
The optimum boundary length was decided to be 70 metres when the Indian T20 League 2022 was played in the DY Patil Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, and Wankhede Stadium. The longest boundary in the, recently concluded, Women's 20-20 World Cup 2023 was 65 metres. The maximum boundary length for WTL 2023 will only be 60 metres.
When viewing a T20 contest, almost anyone expects to see a high-scoring game. The thrill of a high-scoring match is what distinguishes T20 from the other two formats. The board's decision to maintain a reduced boundary length in WTL 2023 was made primarily for this reason.
The Indian Cricket Board official spoke about the boundary length for the first edition of the Indian T20 League. They said,
"The BCCI has informed us to keep the boundary distance for each game to a maximum of 60 metres.”
The maximum on ticket pricing was Rs 100, but the DY Patil ticket office didn't open until the day before the championship game. Nonetheless, WPL tickets were offered online and fans have gone to the stadiums till now in full force to support their favourite teams.
In the tournament's first ever game, Mumbai managed to score 207 for 5. Hayley Matthew of Mumbai hit four sixes- the most by a batter. She amassed 47 out of 31. Mumbai won by a score of 143 runs over Gujarat. Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the Mumbai franchise and the game's leading scorer, blasted 14 fours but failed to hit a six during her 65 from 30 balls stay.

It's common sense, women's have less physical strength than men and that's absolutely fine. Bcci made these boundries just to make women's cricket more interesting and high scoring.
Abe noobde, khud 54m ke ground rakte hai, usme bhi boundary line 3-4 meter andar kar lete hai aur pitch road jaisa. Lekin nahi, tujhe India se marwana accha lagta hai. pic.twitter.com/hsF6wYye9k
