Top Pakistani Twenty20 players, including their captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, are gearing up to join the Big Bash League's (BBL) first international player draft.

With exciting players like spinner Rashid Khan from Afghanistan, West Indies veterans Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo, and South Africa's Faf du Plessis already leading the list of names nominated for the first international draft the BBL player draft is quickly gaining attention.

According to recent reports, the two top-ranked T20I players, Azam and Rizwan, will grace the league. Melbourne Renegades, a struggling team, won the lottery held by Cricket Australia on Wednesday and so secured the important first choice in the BBL's maiden overseas player draft. Cricket Australia (CA) has only made 28 names publicly known out of the more than 170 nominees for the BBL draught, according to sen.com.au.

Rashid is probably expected to join Adelaide Strikers again after an outstanding performance with the champions of the Indian T20 League 2022, Gujarat. Head coach Jason Gillespie has already indicated that he "will do everything they can to retain the Afghanistan leg-spinner, who has played 61 matches for the club."

The most experienced T20 cricket player of all time is Pollard, who has played in 598 matches for 18 different teams, is also a part of the draft. He has 11,670 runs at 31.20 and a strike rate of 151, which ranks him third all-time in the format. The 35-year-old resigned from international cricket a few months ago, after Bravo, a compatriot, did so following the T20 World Cup in the UAE last year.

With 542 games, Bravo is the player with the second-most caps. He is by far the highest wicket-taker in T20 cricket, with 596 wickets. Rashid Khan is next on the list with 466 wickets. Rashid recently played for Sussex in the Blast, picking up eight wickets in six games. If selected in the draft, he will return to the BBL with the goal of being the first foreign bowler to reach 100 wickets in the league. He's on 92 right now.
