Virat Kohli's poor form with the bat has continued in the ODI series against England as well. The former Indian cricketer missed out on the first match due to a minor groin injury but was back for the second game. However, he could only manage to score 16 runs in 25 balls before losing his wicket to David Willey.

Following this, Pakistan captain Babar Azam conveyed a heartfelt message to the former Indian captain. Babar took to Twitter to pen down a message for Virat. "This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli," he tweeted.

In recent times, the two cricketers have had completely opposite performances with the bat. While the former Indian cricket team captain is in the midst of the most difficult period of his career, the current Pakistan cricket team captain has delivered performances to compete with.

Many former cricketers have maintained that Babar is the finest batter in the world right now, while some have suggested extending the 'Top 4' of international batting elite group into a 'Top 5' to include Babar with Virat Kohli, Joe Root, Steve Smith, and Kane Williamson.

His form in limited overs cricket has been remarkable, as Pakistan's captain continues to top the ICC rankings. In the most recent rankings, Babar has retained his top spot in the T20I batting rankings, breaking another record set by former India captain Virat Kohli. Babar has now held the top spot in the T20I rankings for the longest time, breaking Kohli's previous record of 1013 days.

Babar recently surpassed another Kohli record by scoring more than 1000 runs in one-day internationals after taking over as Pakistan's captain. He accomplished this feat in 13 innings. Kohli took 17 innings as India's captain to reach 1000 ODI runs.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli has been struggling to get runs under his belt. He hasn't hit a century in over two and a half years. The 33-year-old last hit a century against Bangladesh in November 2019.
