The Indian Cricket Board recently announced the list of players in their central contract for the 2022-23 season. The newly-announced list of contracted players has also seen the entry of some new names in the list ahead of the much-anticipated Indian T20 League 2023. Meanwhile, the board has also demoted a couple of players from their previous contracts.

In the same line of events, the senior Indian batter KL Rahul has faced a downfall in the contracts as the board has demoted him from Grade A to Grade B. Notably, KL Rahul recently played an impressive knock in the first of the recently-concluded three-match ODI series against Australia.

Just after this news of KL Rahul’s demotion, a section of the Indian fans didn’t miss this chance to troll the 30-year-old; they immediately took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and came up with some harsh reactions while trolling the veteran Karnataka batter.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Speaking of the updated names in Grade A includes the names of Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammad Shami, Rishabh Pant, and Axar Patel.

Here’s a look at the names in Grade B and Grade C of the Indian Cricket Board’s central contract for 2022-23.
