In response to Australia's contentious removal of Jonny Bairstow at Lord's, England's Stuart Broad wrote in a blog that he "could not believe" that any senior members challenged the appeal.
Given that the over had ended and Bairstow believed it to be a dead ball, the Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey's stumping of the Englishman was highly contentious. Carey, on the other hand, had thrown the ball towards the stumps before Bairstow had actually stepped out of his crease, given that the latter had the propensity to do so.
The cricketing world was divided as to whether or not the dismissal was in keeping with the spirit of the game, which turned the Test as well as the entire series on their heads. The incident infuriated Broad, who rushed out onto the crease once Bairstow had left. Then, he and the Australians got into a protracted, pointless argument as he faked to leave and rushed back into the crease through numerous tense, verbal exchanges.
I told the Australians I could not believe: Stuart Broad
The next day, Broad clarified his thoughts in an article for the Daily Mail, during which he also made an effort to refute criticisms of England's hypocrisy. Brendon McCullum, the English team, and even Broad personally were on the losing end of a number of high-profile "spirit of the game" events.
The veteran England pacer wrote in the Daily Mail regarding the controversial run-out appeal. He said, “What amazed me, and what I told the Australians I could not believe as we left the field at lunch, was that not one senior player among them — and I very much understand in the emotion of the game that the bowler and wicket-keeper would have thought ‘that’s out’ — questioned what they had done.”
Broad was adamant about the fact that Australia should have withdrawn their decision. He wrote, “Not one of them said: ‘Hang on, lads. I’m not really sure about this.’ Not one of them thought: ‘He’s gaining no advantage. He’s not trying to get a run. It’s the end of the over. It’s a bit of a random dismissal. We should cancel that appeal.’

You England team did same to Krish Shrikanth in his debut test match at Wankhade stadium. He ventured out of his crease walking towards the leg umpire after playing a defensive push. What was that as he was given run out.

I still remember when Broad didn’t leave the crease when he was clearly out but the umpire didn’t necessarily give the signal.

He’s no one to talk matters like this
Didn’t they take an unfair advantage vs NZ in WC finals 🤡

I think what Aussies did was wrong, but truly well deserved to England
@StuartBroad8 Bro... The decision was made by match referee & third, second, first umpires after long discussion.

So it's legal by law.
Do we question any action that is under the laws ?

Have you ever seen anyone question why there are players around the globe that play cricket for England?
Even while a spinner gets a stumping, batsmen lift their foot unknowingly. They don't even try for a run. If that's out, why can't this be out ?

Can anyone remember that time Broad edged to slip, was given not out, and did not walk off in line with the spirit of cricket?

Cry babies😭 using "spirit of the game" as an excuse when it's clearly evident that Aussies completely outplayed them barring that stokes innings...LOOSERS😂

There is no spirit of cricket for ICC rules.
He was not out since he checked his mark before leaving, somebody should check the drawer of the third umpire because they have gone berserk recently...🤦
