England’s ‘Bazball’ approach has fallen on the receiving end of hard and fast-lined criticism alongside some harsh opinions from the cricket fans and the experts of the game. It all started after the Three Lions faced a horrific collapse on the third day of the ongoing second Ashes 2023 Test. They lost six wickets only on the score of 47 runs in the morning session of the third day.
England started their game from the second day’s last score of 278 runs for the loss of four wickets; but in utter dismay to the England cricket fans, the Ben Stokes-led side got bundled up only on the score of 325 runs in their first innings.
Subsequently, they faced huge flak on the micro-blogging site Twitter as both fans and experts criticized the approach of the English Team towards the game. Meanwhile, some of the former cricketers also criticized England for lack of competency against the short balls bowled by the Aussie pacers.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the failure of England’s ‘Bazball’ approach:

There will come a point where Bazball will reach the peak of stupidity. That peak still hasn't arrived yet but it will happen in this Ashes.

When did Bazball become a licence to do dumb stuff?! Surely, there’s still an element of attrition left in Test match batting. #Ashes

Bazball is great..but only in moderation and only when the conditions suit quick scoring.

Exactly the template that made Rishabh Pant a World-class Test batter.
England may want to watch a few of his knocks with ball-by-ball highlights
the thing with Bazball is, test cricket has been played since 100+ yrs, and there is a reason it has been played in a certain way..

being ostrich and saying we will entertain is just. making a joke of yourself
One of the major issues with BazBall is the lack of rest time it allocates the England bowlers and the lack of miles in the legs it puts into the opposition’s attack.

You’ve got 5 days.

You can love the idea of Bazball and previous results and also hate what has happened since England were 185-1 and on cruise control.

Not everything is all in or all out.
I like BazBall and there's been a fantastic improvement but this has been stupid batting after getting into such a strong position, lost all momentum now
