BBL 2021-22 – Brisbane Heat vs Melbourne Stars – Match 23 – Preview – Playing XI, Live Streaming Details and Updates

Brisbane Heat will be up against Melbourne Stars in match 23 of the Big Bash League (BBL). Both the teams are placed in the bottom half of the points table. Heat are placed fifth, with two wins and three losses. On the other hand, the Stars are placed seventh, winning two and losing three.

Heat are coming off a 39-run victory over Strikers. The batting has been a bit inconsistent in the tournament. However, they had a decent game against the Strikers and posted 208. The bowlers then restricted Strikers to 169-8, with Matthew Kuhnemann and Mark Steketee picking three wickets each. The team though will be concerned about the form of star batter Chris Lynn who has looked slightly off-colour so far.

Meanwhile, the Stars have been performing well with the bat. However, the bowlers have leaked too many runs. It's surprising to see Stars struggle in the bowling department despite having bowlers like Nathan Coulter-Nile, Qais Ahmed and Andre Russell at their disposal.

Pitch Report

The match is set to be staged at Gabba in Brisbane. The surface is known to have some pace and bounce, which will be an advantage to the bowlers. However, the batters won't mind the extra pace either as the ball will come on nicely onto the bat.
