The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced the squad for India women’s tour of Australia, where the eves will play three ODIs, as many T20Is and a historic one-off Test in Perth. Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, and Shafali Verma, who participated in The Hundred have been included in both squads. Tania Bhatiya has been overlooked for the T20Is but has made it to the Test and ODI set up.
Priya Punia, wicketkeeper Indrani Roy, medium-pacer Arundhati Reddy and spinner Radha Yadav, who were part of the India squad for the one-off Test against England, have been dropped from the Test team while Yastika Bhatia and Renuka Singh Thakur have been added to the 18 member squad.
The ODI series gets underway from September 19 in Sydney, with matches to follow on September 22 and 24 in Melbourne. India will then play their first-ever Day-Night Test before playing three T20Is on October 7, 9 and 11 in Sydney.
