A typical Asian wicket is known to assist the spinners, which helps Asian sides dominate the visitors. However, that was not the case in the first two Tests between Pakistan and  Australia. The PCB was criticized for not curating sporting wickets as both matches ended in a draw. There were plenty of runs on the offer for the batters, but nothing for the bowlers.

Former Pakistani cricketer, Aaqib Javed has said that the PCB should look to prepare turning track for the final Test  He also said that the PCB could seek help from the curators from Mumbai, Bangalore, and Chennai.

Speaking on his Youtube channel, Aaqib said, "Why go anywhere else? I would say find out from the curators in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai etc how they prepare the turners on which Indian spinners dominate. I am surprised until now Pakistan has not been able to produce pure turning tracks, which will help our spinners."

The former pacer maintained that Pakistan could only overcome Australia with spin since Pakistan's fast bowlers have lacked venom.

Lahore will host the final Test match at the Gaddafi Stadium from the 21st of March. The PCB has reportedly recruited former ICC Academy head curator Toby Lumsden to supervise the final game preparations. Lumsden, who has also served as curator at the MCG, is currently in charge of all preparatory work in Lahore.

"He wants to also change and improve the process of preparing pitches and Lumsden might also be given a longer assignment to help train the local curators," a PCB source was reported as saying by News 18.
