'Best way to celebrate' - Fans react as Shubman Gill fans celebrate his 24th birthday by distributing food to needy people

The young Indian opening batter Shubman Gill is celebrating his 24th birthday today i.e., on the 8th of September. He is currently a part of the Indian team in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. Gill played a very good knock of 67 runs against Nepal to help Team India register a win by the massive margin of 10 wickets.

Meanwhile, a video is also making rounds on social media in which it can be seen that Gill's fans celebrated his birthday by distributing the food among the needy people. The video was shared on the micro-blogging site X and got immediately viral.

Speaking of cricket, he is in very fine touch with the bat currently as he played an unbeaten knock in the last match against Nepal. He is also picked in the Indian squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023. Notably, Gill has been performing brilliantly with the bat for India since his first international appearance almost four and a half years back in the year 2019.

Since then, he has been playing for Team India across all the formats; in 33 innings of 18 Tests, he has scored 966 runs averaging 32.20, including 2 centuries and 4 half-centuries. He has also scored 1514 runs with an impressive average of 63.08 in 29 innings of the 29 ODIs, having 4 centuries, 7 half-centuries and a historic ODI double century against New Zealand.

Other than ODI and Test cricket, Gill has also played in 11 matches for the men in blue; in these matches, he has aggregated 304 runs with a century and a half-century.

Now, the 24-year-old will be back in action with Team India in the super-4 match of Asia Cup 2023 between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan. Both teams will play this match at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on the 10th of September.
