The Indian T20 League provides great chances for youngsters, even if they do not play a single game. Just being around the senior team players can help them a lot. The Chennai team has been one of the most successful teams in producing young players. However, there have been many players that Chennai has bought but never gave a game to them. Here is the best possible playing combination of the players that never played a game for Chennai.

Top Order

C Hari Nishanth, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Hemang Badani

C Hari Nishanth is a talented young player from Tamil Nadu and has been part of the Chennai team for a while. However, he is yet to get a game for the team. Cheteshwar Pujara was purchased by Chennai in 2021 after heroic performances in Australia. However, he too didn't get a single game. Hemang Badani, a former India player, was a part of the team in 2010 but didn't play a single game for the team.

Middle Order

K Vasudevadas, Thisara Perera, Irfan Pathan, and Krishnappa Gowtham

K Vasudevadas and Krishnappa Gowtham are other players that were a part of the title-winning squads but never got a game. Vasudevadas was a part of the Chennai squad in 2011. Krishnappa Gowtham, one of the most expensive uncapped players, also didn't get a game after Chennai bought him in 2021. India's 2007 T20 World Cup hero Irfan Pathan was also a part of the team in 2015 but didn't play a game for them. Thisara Perera also donned the yellow jersey once but never represented the team.

Lower Order

Matt Henry, Andrew Tye, K Bhagath Varma, and R Sai Kishore

Andhra Pradesh's K Bhagat Varma and Tamil Nadu's R Sai Kishore were a part of the Chennai team in 2021, but these two never got a chance to play a game. New Zealand's quick, Matt Henry, was also a part of the team in 2014 but didn't play for them. Andrew Tye, who won the purple cap in 2018, was a part of the Chennai team in 2015 but only warmed the bench in the yellow jersey.
