Former star Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has come up with the praising remarks for the former Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Yuvraj credited Kohli during the phase when the latter made his comeback in international cricket. Singh mentioned Kohli’s support when he was making a comeback after a long gap from international cricket.
"When I made my comeback in the Indian team, Virat Kohli supported me a lot during his captaincy. If Virat didn't support me, my comeback would never have happened,” Yuvraj Singh was quoted as saying by News 18.
Subsequently, Indian cricket fans didn’t take too long in coming up with different reactions on the micro-blogging site Twitter. Some of the fans also recalled the time when Yuvi played under the captaincy of Virat Kohli’s predecessor and former Indian skipper MS Dhoni.
Here’s how fans reacted:

He only supported you cause of your past reputation and probably friendship nothing else .if it was based on current form you had no chance being in the Indian team!

Speaking of Yuvraj Singh’s career in international cricket, he played a crucial role in India’s two major international tournament wins; he was a key factor for India in the 20-20 World Cup 2007 and the ODI World Cup 2011. During the first edition of the 20-20 World Cup in 2007, he made a world record in the group match against England by smashing six sixes in an over off their star pacer Stuart Broad. He also played the all-important knock of 70 runs off just 30 balls in the semi-final against Australia.
Later on, he won the ‘Player of the Tournament award in the ODI World Cup 2011 with exceptional performances both with the bat and the ball.
Notably, the star Southpaw was grappling with the cancer during the World Cup 2011 but he still played with the disease and played an amazing role in India’s title triumph.
He hung his boots in international cricket four years back in the year when Team India was in action during the ODI World Cup 2019. He missed to make it to the squad of the ODI World Cup 2019.
