It’s not a time for the Indian team management to bear the news of the continuous injury concerns with the important players of the team. Earlier a day back, the media reports learned that the senior opener KL Rahul will be missing the Asia Cup 2023 due to the time in his recovery.
Now, the Indian management has faced another blow as the star middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer is likely to miss the continental tournament later this year. He is still recovering from the back injury that he sustained a couple of months ago.
“Iyer recently took an injection for his back pain at the Indian Cricket Board’s National Cricket Academy. His back is still giving him trouble,” said a source to the Times of India.
Just after this statement from the Indian Cricket Board source, a section of the Indian cricket fans took it as an opportunity to come up with some harsh and trolling remarks for both the Indian team and the management. Fans took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and trolled the management’s strategies alongside the preparations of India given the fact that the 50-over World Cup 2023 of this year is just almost three months away from now.
Here’s how fans reacted:

I think all injured players come directly to world cup and fails and tells we didn't have adequate game time🤧🤧..

Tough for Iyer, KL and Bumrah to come back directly to WC and perform in the high pressure games. Why Deepak Chahar not in ODI squad? He is a decent all-rounder who can bowl in PP.

Good he almost all imp series against Aus,eng now Asia Cup 👏👏👏👏 he miserably fail against Australia, Pakistan,England

Suryakumar is out of form in ODI cricket. He has not shown his glamour in ODI format. That three ducks in 3 ODI match series against Australia would haunt him. Unavailability of Shreyas is a dent to ICT. He is a consistent performer. India would want him in World Cup
