Bharat Arun and R Sridhar are set to part ways with team India next month after their contract expires. The upcoming mega event will be their final assignment with the team along with head coach Ravi Shastri. The trio had come together in India's backroom staff six years ago and built the team superbly over the years.

With Shastri turning 60 next year, he is not eligible to apply again. But Sridhar and Arun both can reapply for their jobs, however, they have decided against it. BCCI advertised for the positions recently and while Rahul Dravid is set to take over as the head coach, we might see a new bowling and fielding coach taking over. Paras Mhambrey is the favourite currently to become the bowling coach.

According to Cricbuzz, both Sridhar and Arun have told the BCCI that they are not seeking any contract extensions and aren't applying for their positions as well. Rather Sridhar also penned an emotional note on his official Instagram account on October 18 recalling his experience with the team and thanking the concerned people for supporting him during this journey.

He is also looking forward to the upcoming event in progress in the UAE and is willing to enjoy his last few weeks with the team. India is set to commence their campaign with a game against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 24 in Dubai. Meanwhile, it is also understood that Arun and Sridhar both have received offers from the IPL franchises but everything will be finalised only after their contract expires next month.
