Pakistan are currently preparing for the upcoming three-match home Test series against Pakistan. The series are going to start on 1 December 2022. However, England's team have arrived in Pakistan after a gap of 17 years to play the series. However, before the 20-20 World Cup, they played a seven-match T20I series also.

England won that series with a margin of 4-3. Then, in the World Cup final, again both teams clashed and England came out victorious. Now, ahead of the Test series, England’s Test skipper, Ben Stokes came out with a big announcement. He said that he will donate all the match fees from the upcoming Test series to the flood victims in Pakistan.

Pakistan fans started to slam their Prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif after his appreciation tweet regarding Ben Stokes

On 28 November 2022, Ben Stokes wrote: "It is great to be in Pakistan for the first time for this historic series. To be back here after 17 years as a Test side is very exciting. There is a sense of responsibility amongst the playing and support group and to be there is special. The floods that devastated Pakistan earlier this year were very sad to see and have had a significant impact on the country and the people. The game has given me a lot in my life and I feel it's only right to give something back that goes far beyond cricket.”

“I will be donating my match fees from this Test series to the Pakistan flood appeal. Hopefully, this donation can go towards the rebuilding of areas of Pakistan most affected by the flooding," Stokes concluded. In response to that, Pakistan’s Prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif wrote: “We appreciate the kind gesture of England Captain Ben Stokes donating his fees of entire Test series for flood victims of Pakistan. Empathy for suffering humanity is the greatest of all virtues. His gesture epitomizes the great British tradition of philanthropy.” Seeing that tweet, Pakistan fans were not happy as they criticized their Prime minister. They claimed that he and his corrupt government will now rob this money from the star batter instead of using it for good needs.
