Former Pakistan skipper Salman Butt stated that Bhuvneshwar Kumar is India's best swing bowler. The veteran found it surprising that he missed the WTC final against New Zealand. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was India's key bowler in their 2014 tour of England. The pacer scalped 19 wickets in the five Tests and also contributed 247 runs with the bat.

In March, Bhuvneshwar Kumar also won the Player of the Month award for his brilliant performance in the series against England. The 31-year-old seamer picked up six wickets with an economy rate of 4.65 in the three ODIs. Bhuvneshwar also picked up four wickets with a fantastic economy rate of 6.38 in the five T20Is to emerge as the standout bowler in the white ball series.

The fast-bowling trio of Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah did not perform well in the WTC final. Shami and Ishant stood out in the first innings and picked up seven wickets. However, in the second innings, they went wicketless. On the other hand, India's premium bowler Jasprit Bumrah picked up just a single wicket in the entire match.

With the WTC final over, the Indian cricket team will now set their eyes on the biggest series of the summer. They will play against England in five Test matches. The series will also mark the commencement of the second World Test Championship cycle. However, ahead of the five-match Test series, India will need to figure out a few things. This also includes the selection of their fast bowlers.

Former Pakistan skipper Salman Butt is stated that one bowler who is a must-have for India during the England Test series is none other than Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The 32-year-old pacer was not part of India's 20-member squad of England. He is currently in Sri Lanka preparing for the limited-overs series. Having said that, Salman Butt feels Bhuvneshwar Kumar is India's best swing bowler and found it very surprising to see him miss the ticket to the UK. Butt believes Kumar is in the same bracket as the legendary English pacer James Anderson. He signed off by saying that the Indian management should find out to include him in the Test squad.
