The awards recognise the best performances of both male and female cricketers
The world governing body of cricket has stated that the awards would recognise the best performances of male and female cricketers across all formats throughout the year. The ICC also said that all the cricket fanatics are invited to vote online every month to award their favourite male and female cricketers across all game formats. An independent ICC Voting Academy consisting of former players, broadcasters, and journalists worldwide will team up with cricket fans to vote for the winners every month. All the nominees for each of the categories will be fixed by the Committee. It will be based on their on-field performances and overall achievements during that period of that month.
The Voting Academy is going to submit the votes by email and reserve a 90% share of the vote. However, on the first day of each month, the fanatics registered with the ICC will submit votes through the website. They will also have a 10 per cent share of the vote. All the respective winners will be declared every second Monday of the month on the ICC's digital channels.
