Adelaide Strikers will be up against Sydney Thunder in match 28 of the Big Bash League (BBL). Strikers have lost four games in a row and are placed seventh on the points table. Thunder, on the other hand, managed to hold to their fourth spot after a win over Perth Scorchers. Thunder would be hoping to solidify their position in the top half of the points table, while Strikers would want to end their losing streak.
The Peter Siddle-led side’s last win came against Melbourne Renegades. Post the thumping 49 run win, the Strikers have looked mediocre. Only a few players like Rashid Khan, George Garten, and Wes Agar have looked good. The remaining players have not contributed much in all of the six matches.
The biggest problem for Strikers has been their bowling. They are not able to control well in the middle phase of the innings. Rashid has lacked support and that has resulted in the opposition fetching easy runs.
Meanwhile, the Thunder got back to winning away after securing a convincing 34 runs victory over Scorchers. Sam Billings carried on his good run and scored 67 to help Thunder post 200. The bowling was also pretty decent and restricted Scorchers to 166-8. Thunder will be hoping to carry on their winning run.
