The suspense around Jasprit Bumrah’s availability for the upcoming 20-20 world cup doesn’t seem to end as new updates are emerging every day on the seamer’s fitness. Indian cricket fans are desperately hoping for the pace spearhead to recover in time and take the field in the grand event next month. Amid all the tension among Indian fans, a Twitter user has found a perfect replacement for the star pacer.

A Twitter user named Sudhanshu shared a video of a bowler bowling with a weird action and wrote, “I know who can replace Bumrah.”  The bowler in the video is none other than the Bollywood actor Bobby Deol. The video seems to be from a celebrity special cricket match in which Deol took part.

The Tweet attracted several hilarious reactions as users began trolling the actor for his bowling action. Some called his action ‘a piece of art’ while some showered praise for his impeccable line and length. Some users also showed their creative side as they made fake quotes using the picture of the legendary batter Sir Don Bradman.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness concerns have kept the entire nation worried as the 28-year-old is India’s leader of the pace attack. In his absence, the Indian team struggled big-time bowling at the death during the recently concluded Asia Cup.

Indian bowlers failed to defend targets in consecutive matches against Pakistan and Sri Lanka which eventually led them to get knocked out of the continental cup. Bumrah made a return to the team in the second T20I against Australia this month. But his unavailability in the first T20I against South Africa on Wednesday raised concerns about his fitness.

The Indian Cricket Board gave the last update on Bumrah on Wednesday when he missed the first T20I. The board tweeted, “Jasprit Bumrah complained of back pain during India’s practice session on Tuesday. The BCCI Medical Team assessed him. He is ruled out of the first #INDvSA T20I.”

But according to several reports on Thursday, Bumrah is expected to miss the 20-20 World Cup next month. However, in a new development today, it’s being reported that the seamer might recover in time for the World cup.

Whether Bumrah recovers or not time will tell. Meanwhile, here are some of the hilarious reactions to Bobby Deol’s bowling.
