Virat Kohli struck a magnificent century in Royal Challengers Bangalore's crucial eight-wicket win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The victory kept RCB in contention for a playoff spot. In the middle of this, Pakistan bowler Mohammad Amir feels Kohli is the "Only Real King" in international cricket after smashing his sixth IPL century on Thursday.

“What a inning by one and only the real king @imVkohli take a bow,” Amir wrote on Twitter. In the meantime, fans have been trolling Pakistan skipper Babar Azam as the pace sensation chose Virat over him as the best cricketer.

In his YouTube channel "Inswing with Amir," he stated that Virat Kohli is his favourite batsman in this era in world cricket, with no one coming close. "There is no comparison between Virat with any other player of this generation. Virat’s achievements are unbelievable. Today he achieved another feat. This hundred was so special because it was a must-win game for RCB and he stepped up," Amir said.

“The kind of shots he has played is unbelievable. We know about his class and a big player will always come good when going gets tough. He has scored his first hundred in four years, his sixth in the tournament’s history. He is the real king of cricket. If he will play for five more years I don’t know how many records he is going to set .. you never know,” he said.

With one league game remaining against the already-qualified Gujarat Titans, Bangalore moved up to fourth place in the points table with 14 points and increased its chances of making the playoffs. “RCB’s hope for the semifinals are alive now. I hope they play in the semis and final and also win the title,” said Amir.

Amir also praised the RCB openers Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli. “I think these two are unbelievable. Faf is the leading run-scorer of the tournament and it looks like he would end up scoring more than 800 runs in this year’s IPL,” he said.
