India got crushed in the WTC 2023 final against Australia by a big margin of 209 runs and lost the second consecutive final in the World Test Championship. While chasing the big target of 444 runs, India got bundled up only on the score of 234 in the fourth innings of the match.

On the back of these knocks, Australia posted a massive total of 469 runs in the first innings. Responding to this, India got bundled up only on the score of 296 runs in the first innings and happened to trail by a big margin of 173 runs after the end of the first innings.

In the second innings, scoring 270 runs for the loss of eight wickets, Australia declared the innings and went on to set a huge target of 444 runs in the fourth innings for India.
