Ravindra Jadeja has been India's one of the most consistent performers in all the departments and all the formats. His game in the longest format has stood out the most. And finally, he is getting the recognition that he deserves. Jadeja moved to the top spot in the Test all-rounder rankings on Wednesday. He surpassed Jason Holder and Ravichandran Ashwin to move up two spots in the rankings.

This feat came just days after Ravindra Jadeja had a stellar run in the first match of the series against Sri Lanka. The left-hander reached his second Test century in the first innings of the match, and then went on to pick a five-for and a four-for in consecutive innings. In his innings of 175, he played at a strike rate of 76 and hit 17 fours and 3 sixes. This helped India reach a huge total of 574 runs in the first innings.

In the bowling innings, he picked up some crucial wickets and reached his five-for. India then enforced the follow on, and this allowed Jadeja to get even more wickets to his bag. He got a four-for in the second innings as well. As a result, India won the match by an innings and 222 runs. "I look to keep it very simple out in the middle," Jadeja said as he received the man of the match award.

Twitter exploded as the all-rounder reached the top spot in the Test rankings. While some called him the perfect all-rounder, the others called him the king.
