Breaking News! Big Boys Get Rested As India Announce Squads For Their Tour Of New Zealand And Bangladesh

Team India are currently busy playing the 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. The Men in Blue have managed to win two out of their first three matches in the tournament. However, India are going to travel to New Zealand to play a three-match T20I and ODI series, starting on 18 November 2022. 

The final of the ongoing tournament will happen on 13 November 2022. So, if India qualify for the final, they have to go to New Zealand from Australia only. So, on 31 October, the Indian chief selector Chetan Sharma announced the team for those series in New Zealand. 

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and KL Rahul to take a rest from the T20I series against the Kiwis while Hardik Pandya will lead India 

As per earlier reports, senior players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and KL Rahul are going to take a rest from the T20I series against New Zealand. Hardik Pandya will lead the side in the three-match T20I series. Along with that, Shikhar Dhawan will again lead team India in the three-match ODI series.

According to earlier reports, Sanju Samson got a chance in the final squad for both the T20I and ODI series in New Zealand. But, Prithvi Shaw failed to grab any spot in the T20I squad for India. However, senior players will be back for the ODI series against Bangladesh on their home soil.  India will play a three-match ODI series and a two-match Test series in Bangladesh.
