Legends League Cricket has added Bret Lee (Australia), Liam Plunkett (England), Joginder Sharma (India), Albie Morkel (South Africa), Jonty Rhodes (South Africa), Ajantha Mendis & Dilhara Fernando (Sri Lanka) to its list of players for season two.

Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Muralitharan, Monty Panesar, Pravin Tambe, Naman Ojha, S. Badrinath, Stuart Binny, and Asghar Afghan announced their participation in the tournament's second season earlier this week.

"With these additions, our second season is becoming bolder and bigger. With great pleasure, we welcome them to the Legends family and looking forward to witness their magic on field at LLC Season 2," Raman Raheja, Co-Founder & CEO, Legends League Cricket said.

The second season of the prestigious event will begin on the 20th of September and end on the 10th of October. This edition will feature four teams, unlike three teams in the last season. A total of 15 matches will be played in the second season in Oman. This year's competition is projected to draw up to 110 participants. All of these players will go through a draft process in August.

"As I mentioned earlier, we have 4 Franchisees owned teams, playing 15 matches between September 20 to October 10, 2022, at Oman. We will keep announcing the names of 110 Top class players who would be put in 4 teams through a Player Draft process in early August 2022," Raman Raheja added.

Legends League Cricket's inaugural season

Meanwhile, former cricketers from India, Pakistan, Australia, England, and other countries competed in the competition's inaugural edition. On the basis of their region, the players were separated into three teams: India Maharajas, Asia Lions, and World Giants. The competition grew in popularity as spectators saw their favourite players return to the field.

Nothing less should be expected from the forthcoming season, and some famous players are set to showcase their abilities. While some players will return to the game after a short break, some who have just retired will try to leave a lasting impression.
