England vice-captain Jos Buttler believes that England could achieve anything prior to winning the recent series against South Africa. England won 3-0, registering a clean sweep away from home. Team England was already 2-0 up and had won the series already. On Tuesday evening, England beat the Proteas by nine wickets in what was the icing on the cake.

With this, England has climbed to the top of the world rankings table. In the 3rd ODI against England, South Africa managed to post a total of 191 at the loss of 3 wickets. Rassie’s knock of 74 runs along with contributions from Du Plessis and Bavuma guided SA to a total of 191.

Jason Roy was out early, scoring just 16 runs off 14 balls. Prior to that, Jos Buttler and Malan’s partnership helped England chase this huge total. A staggering partnership of 167 runs off just 90 balls saw Malan and Buttler create history. A record partnership between the duo helped SA cruise to the winning line, with the loss of only one wicket. What looked to be a challenging chase was just a walk in the park. This was the 3rd occasion in which England chased a score of 190+ this year.

Fantastic for us to go on top: Buttler

The win against SA has helped England go on top of the world. With the  T20 world cup looming, Buttler feels that this England side can win anything, given the quality of this team. He states that the players are being pushed to their limits. Each and every player is working hard to be in their best form. With such a quality team, Buttler wants England to win every trophy coming up their way.

England captain Eoin Morgan has been impressed with the likes of Buttler and Malan. He was quite pleased with how they turned the afterburners after getting off to a relatively slow start. With just 18 runs in 3 overs, England did not get off to the best possible start. However, after taking some time to settle, the duo showed its class.

Morgan, although has admitted that England is still on the search for a  more complete performance. He believes that the batting department is doing tremendous, however, the bowling department needs to cope up. In order to win the upcoming tournaments, Morgan wants his team to display a more collective performance. Hopefully, England is not too far from what Morgan idealizes.
