ODI World Cup 2023 is set to commence on the 5th of October later this year in India. The tournament will kick off with the inaugural match between the defending champions England and the 2019 World Cup runners-up New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The 13th edition of the ODI World Cup will be played entirely in India across all the corners of the country.
Meanwhile, the Arun Jaitley Stadium of Delhi is set to get renovated, considering the preparations for the prestigious cricket tournament. The media reports have suggested that the expenses of the stadium’s renovation will be around INR 20 to 25 crores.
Subsequently, this news drew a lot of trolling from cricket fans about the management and infrastructure of the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Some fans called it "a tier 5 city stadium" despite it being located in the capital city of India.
Here’s how fans reacted:
Yar delhi ka stadium to world class hona chaie ..capital city ki stadium aur lagti hai tier 5 ki sasti stadium
