All the Indians finally relished the moment that they were desperately waiting for. India's batting maestro, Virat Kohli reached his 71st century and it came after a gap of 1021 days.

Virat Kohli looked in fine touch against Afghanistan in India's last game of the Asia Cup 2022. The player opened the innings with stand-in captain K. L Rahul. He played cautiously in the first few overs before changing the gears. The only blip in his innings was when he was dropped in the first half and Virat capitalized on that chance wonderfully.

The right-handed batsman set the internet ablaze as he scored a terrific century. The player aced through the innings and ended up scoring 122* from 61 deliveries. For the unversed, this is the highest score by an Indian in the T20s.

Twitter went crazy over the century. There were tweets from the likes of AB de Villiers, Babar Azam, Liam Livingstone, etc. Indian T20 League franchise, Chennai have also come up with a Tweet, which is winning the hearts on the internet.

The four-tweet thread explained the entire journey of the player since his last century. They started with the tweet “The King is back, they’re saying. But he never left, did he?”.

In the next tweet, they mentioned “He charged head-first into battles, over and over again!”. The second tweet defined the resilience of the stalwart.

The third tweet read, “He braved wars and scars fearlessly, turning away not once!”.

The franchise talked about the player’s determination despite the wins and losses. The photo described his attitude during the turbulent 20-20 World Cup 2021.

The final tweet read, “Hurdles can’t hold back a relentless warrior! Cricket hai abhi baaki!”.
