Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson appreciated left-arm pacer Chetan Sakariya for his consistent performances in the 14th IPL season. Samson claimed that Chetan Sakariya is now prepared for big matches after the pacer helped his team bag their second win of the season. Playing their fifth match, RR defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by six wickets at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.
Chasing a below-par total of 134, Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal formed a 21-run brief partnership for the first wicket. However, mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy dismissed the Jos Buttler at 5 in the fourth over. After Buttler's dismissal, skipper Samson joined Jaiswal in the crease. The skipper then added a 19-run stand with Jaiswal for the second wicket. Shivam Mavi dismissed Jaiswal in the sixth over. Shivam Dube and Samson guided the side after the departure of their opening batsmen. The duo built a 45-run stand for the third wicket. In the 11th over, Varun Chakravarthy picked up the wicket of set batsman Shivam Dube (22). Rahul Tewatia's stay at the crease did not last long as he was dismissed by pacer Prasidh Krishna in the 14th over. Rahul Tewatia just managed to score five runs.

David Miller came into the crease at number six. He, along with skipper Sanju Samson, took the responsibility to take the team over the line. Samson scored unbeaten 42, whereas Miller scored 24*. For Kolkata, Varun Chakravarthy picked two wickets. Mavi and Krishna also scalped one wicket each.
Meanwhile, after the win, Rajasthan Royals have now progressed to the sixth spot on the points table. They have four points in five matches at -0.681 NRR. On the other hand, KKR has dropped to the bottom of the points table with just 2 points in five games at a poor NRR of -0.675. Rajasthan Royals would now hope to continue the winning momentum, and the Knight Riders would be keen to get back to winning ways after a string of losses to keep themselves alive in the contest. RR will now head to Delhi for their upcoming games. The Royals will next play against Mumbai Indians next on Thursday in Delhi. On the other hand, KKR will move to Ahmedabad and play against Punjab Kings on Monday.
