Suresh Raina is currently busy playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. It is his first season as he took retirement on 6 September 2022. Raina shared a post on Twitter where he wrote: “It has been an absolute honour to represent my country & state UP. I would like to announce my retirement from all formats of Cricket. I would like to thank @BCCI, @UPCACricket, @ChennaiIPL, @ShuklaRajiv sir & all my fans for their support and unwavering faith in my

abilities.” 

He has been an integral part of the Chennai franchise of the Indian T20 League. But, fans were surprised when the franchise did not consider him for the last season. However, some videos went viral also where Suresh Raina was seen playing while donning the Chennai kit. But, ultimately he took retirement, and then, he played in the Road Safety World Series.

Suresh Raina scored a two-ball duck for Deccan Gladiators in the Abu Dhabi T10 League

On 23 November 2022, Suresh Raina made his debut in the Abu Dhabi T10 League for Deccan Gladiators. But, he failed to put smiles on his fans’ faces as Raina managed only a two-ball duck on his debut. However, his team managed to win the clash by a huge margin of 35 runs over Team Abu Dhabi. So, fans were not happy at all with such an inning from the former star Indian batter. They came up and shared their views on social media platforms.

In the Road Safety World Series also, Raina failed to score big for the India Legends. He managed only 79 runs in six innings in that tournament. Still, his team managed to win the tournament for the second time in a row. Speaking about Suresh Raina’s career, he played 322 matches for the Men in Blue across all three formats. In all those matches, Raina scored 7988 runs, at an average of 32.87. Raina also managed seven centuries along with 48 fifties throughout his career.
