In a shocking piece of news from the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League, the expensive production equipment worth 10 Lakh (in Pakistan currency) have got stolen from the renowned Gadaffi Stadium of Lahore. The news has spread like a wildfire in the Pakistan Cricketing fraternity within minutes of being shared by an Islamabad-based sports journalist from his official Twitter handle.

“The security cameras and other production equipment for PSL8 worth 10Lac PKR got stolen from nearby Gaddafi Stadium Lahore,” read the tweet posted by a sports journalist on his official Twitter handle.

Although a section of cricket fans took it as an opportunity to troll both the Pakistan Super League and Pakistan Cricket Board; they also called out the poor management of PCB in handling things during a franchise league of PSL’s stature. Fans on Twitter also trolled Pakistan for the desire of hosting Asia Cup 2023 given this kind of arrangement and management of the system in the tournament.

Speaking of the current scenario of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League, Multan Sultans, under the captaincy of star Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan are leading the table on the top brilliant winning run. They have won four matches out of the five they played so far in the ongoing edition of the tournament.

Multan, are followed by star all-rounder Shadab Khan’s Islamabad United in the second spot as they have crossed the winning line in three fixtures out of the four they appeared in; so far. Most recently, Islamabad locked horns with Quetta Gladiators in the 13th match of the tournament at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Star young batter Azam Khan stunned everyone with his blistering knock of 97 runs off just 42 balls with nine boundaries and eight sixes to his name for Islamabad. Riding on his knock, Shadab’s men posted a big total of 220 runs for the loss of six wickets; later on, they won the match by 63 runs having Azam Khan as the ‘player of the match for his sensational knock.
