Six squad members had not yet gotten their visas, according to earlier reports. But it appears that was taken care of. "Few of the visas came in today but they are still six left for processing including three players and three players’ support staff. The remaining should come by tomorrow. We have very little over control over the process anyway. There is a summer rush and UK visas are taking time," an IOA source was quoted saying by NDTV Sports.

Women's cricket is being played for the first time in the Commonwealth Games. Cricket was last played at the mega tournament in 1998 when South Africa won the gold medal. In the meantime, India is placed in Group A, along with Barbados, Pakistan, and Australia. On July 29, the women in blue start their campaign against the formidable Australia, and on July 31, they face Pakistan.

On the other hand, Group B's opening match will be played on July 30 between the hosts England and Sri Lanka. The group stages begin on July 29 and end on August 4. The bronze-medal game and final game will take place on August 7, while the semifinal matches will be played on August 6. The Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham will serve as the host for all of the games.
