India now has a tally of 55 medals, including 18 gold, 15 silver, and 22 bronze medals. They stand fifth in the standings, while Australia is at the top with a total of 174 medals.

Eldhose Paul, who earned a rare gold medal in track and field competitions, led India's historic 1-2 finish in the men's triple jump at the Commonwealth Games. Abdulla Aboobacker, a fellow athlete from Kerala, finished second.
