Commonwealth Games 2022: Results of the last day for Indian contingent

The Commonwealth Games 2022 has come to a close with India finishing fourth in the medals tally. They won a total of 61 medals in the course of 11 days. On the last day of the multi-sport event, the Indian contingent had the opportunity of winning five Gold medals. Out of those, they went o to win four of them. The men's and women's singles players in Badminton were ruthless and won all three Golds.

On the other hand, the Table Tennis players won one Gold and Silver apiece. Talking about Hockey, the Men's team lost badly to Australia and managed to win the Silver medal. Once again, India managed to remain in the top four of the medal tally at the end of the games. Bifurcating their medals, they have won 22 Gold, 16 Silver, and 23 Bronze medals. They were left behind by Australia, England, and Canada.

The Aussies have won 178 medals out of which 67 were Gold, 57 Silver, and 54 Bronze. Their counterparts and hosts, England were only two short in the medals tally. Canada was in the third spot with 92 medals Talking about the Indian players, one of them managed to grab the Gold for the first time since settling with Bronze and Gold in the last two editions. On the other hand, the Hockey team once again missed out on the Gold medal.
