Former Indian Cricket Board president Sourav Ganguly came up with an emotional tweet after the announcement of the ODI World Cup 2023 schedule. Notably, the Indian Cricket Board and Cricket’s governing body launched the ODI World Cup 2023 trophy and schedule on Tuesday, the 27th of June.
Coming back to Sourav Ganguly's tweet, he expressed his regret of missing the ODI World Cup in India as the president of the Cricket Board. He also congratulated the office-bearers of the Indian Cricket Board for this upcoming edition of the prestigious cricket quadrennial on Indian soil.

So many venues no country can boast of Indian Cricket Board will make it a tournament to remember for the world .. congratulations to all at Indian Cricket Board, Jay Shah, Roger Binny, and all the other office bearers ..and staff,” wrote Sourav Ganguly in a tweet from his official Twitter handle just a day after the announcement of the schedule for the 13th edition of the ODI World Cup.

Talking about the schedule of Team India for the ODI World Cup 2023, they will start their campaign against the five-time champions Australia. Both teams will play this match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The inaugural match of the tournament will be played between the defending champions, England, and last edition’s runners-up, New Zealand, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The same venue will also host the iconic and highly-anticipated clash of India and Pakistan on Sunday, the 15th of October 2023.
Apart from that, the final of the tournament will also be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on the 19th of November 2023. Currently, the six teams are battling in the super six stages of the ongoing Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023 in Zimbabwe.
