The first match of the Caribbean Premier League will have Jamaica Tallawahs take on St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Wednesday at Warner Park in St. Kitts. Tallahwas had an underwhelming season last year and finished at fifth position on the points table.

Out of 10 matches, they managed to secure only 4 wins and suffered losses on 6 occasions. On the other hand, St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots are the defending champions. They won the season last year after beating St. Lucia Kings in the final by 3 wickets. Ahead of a new season, the Kings would be keen to defend the title.

Jamaica Tallahwas’ performances in the last three seasons haven’t inspired a lot of confidence. The franchise finished last in 2019.
