Star Australian opener Travis Head impressed everyone with his sensational batting performances throughout the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023. He came back for Australia in the middle of the tournament after recovering from an injury and played in 6 innings of the 6 matches for his side. In these matches, he scored 329 runs with a brilliant average of 54.83, including two centuries and half-centuries, alongside a historic century in the final against India.

Now, as the IPL 2024 is awaited in the end of this year so there are very much possibilities that franchises will eye on the 29-year-old star in-form batter.

With said that, here we’ll have a look at the 3 franchises which might go hard to bring Travis Head in their squad.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

Kolkata Knight Riders are in a desperate search for a strong opener which they lacked in the Indian Premier League 2023. They also struggled as the skipper Shreyas Iyer was unavailable throughout the season due to his injury. So, they might go all out for Travis Head to place him as an opener, alongside Jason Roy.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Sunrisers Hyderabad had a squad comprising of some star players but they also endured a poor run of form in the Indian Premier League 2023, winning only four games out of the total of 14 games, they played in the tournament. They went on to count on star England batter Harry Brook in the top order, who could score only one century and failed in the rest of the matches. So, Travis Head could provide a brilliant top-order batting option for the IPL 2016 champions.

Punjab Kings (PBKS)

Shikhar Dhawan-led Punjab Kings also had a dismal run in the Indian Premier League 2023 as they ended up the tournament in the eighth spot on the points table of the tournament. They also struggled with their resources in the top-order batting lineup; considering that, they might think of releasing Sri Lanka’s Bhanuka Rajapaksa to replace him with the in-form Travis Head.
