5 Flops in IPL 2025 performing well in other T20 Leagues

Despite the IPL's reputation for fierce competition, even top players can occasionally perform poorly on a large platform. It's interesting to note that several of these underwhelming IPL 2025 players have swiftly improved their situation elsewhere.

In a number of international T20 leagues, these players have returned to their best form, displaying their full potential and dominating with bat and ball. Their return calls into question the strategies and circumstances that prevented them from succeeding in the IPL.

Here are the 5 flop players in IPL 2025 who are performing well in other T20 Leagues:

1. Devon Conway

In the IPL 2025, Devon Conway returned from injury for CSK. With just 156 runs in 6 games, including two fifties, Conway fell short of the high expectations placed on the New Zealander. After Ruturaj Gaikwad's injury, he was supposed to lead CSK's middle order, but he struggled to get into a rhythm.

Conway, however, has scored 99 runs in just two games while playing for the Texas Super Kings, CSK's sister team in MLC 2025. At a strike rate of 150 and an average of 49.50, his maximum score is 65. After a weak IPL season, the left-handed opener appears to be back to his best.

2. Sam Curran

Sam Curran's IPL 2025 comeback to the CSK team was lackluster. At a strike rate of 135.71, the left-handed all-rounder amassed 114 runs in 5 games, including one fifty. He was benched for the rest of the season after taking just one wicket with the ball.

Curran has, however, amassed 96 runs in 5 games for Surrey in the current Vitality Blast and claimed 8 wickets, with a high of 3/18 and an economy of 7.76. He didn't like the Indian climate, particularly the heat in Chennai, but he's doing well at home.

3. Quinton De Kock

Quinton de Kock's IPL 2025 season with the Kolkata Knight Riders was modest. With a strike rate of 129.91 and a best of 97*, he amassed 152 runs in 8 games. KKR had to alternate between using him and Rahmanullah Gurbaz because of his subpar wicketkeeping.

On the other hand, MI New York has benefited greatly from the former South African captain. He has amassed 71 runs, including one fifty, with a strike rate of 154.34 in just two games. He has already hit six fours and four sixes in MLC 2025.

4. Jake Fraser-McGurk

Jake Fraser-McGurk of the Delhi Capitals was one of the biggest IPL 2025 busts. Despite playing six games, he only scored 55 runs, with a strike rate of 105.76 and a best of 38.

But since arriving in the USA to play for the San Francisco Unicorns, Fraser-McGurk has found new life. With two fours and eleven sixes in MLC 2025, he has amassed 95 runs at a strike rate of 190 in just three games, with a best of 88.

5. Rachin Ravindra

In eight IPL 2025 games, Rachin Ravindra scored 191 runs and one fifty for CSK. At a strike rate of 128.18, he achieved his maximum score of 65*. Ravindra was formerly thought of as CSK's long-term investment, but he hasn't performed well in the last two IPL seasons.

Ravindra, who is now playing for the Washington Freedom in the MLC 2025, has amassed 86 runs at an incredible strike rate of 245.71 in just two games. He has demonstrated that he is the powerful batter that CSK hoped he would be by hitting six fours and nine sixes.
